XC Takes on Broadway

The 2021 team won the Varsity 'A' Race at the Manhattan College Invite.

The Bronx, NY - Manhattan College hosts the Eastern States as part of the Manhattan Invitational this Saturday. Thousands of runners race throughout the day in varying levels by age and grade. CBA will make its annual trip to Van Cortlandt Park to race freshmen, sophomore, JV and Varsity races.

The featured event is the Eastern States Championship at 2:35 pm. The race features the best teams from around the northeast as well as some from the southeast. The boys, ranked #2 nationally and #1 regionally by Dyestat, hope to return to the winner's circle after Saturday's race. In 2019 (Results here), the boys finished 3rd behind LaSalle College from PA and La Salle Academy from RI. Although it was a tough day for the Colts, it was great to share a fun moment with our fellow brothers. The team's last win was in 2017 (Results here). Brian Hill '18 led the charge that day for the Colts with a 12:40.

In 2021, the team won the Varsity 'A' race. Here are those results. the team of Jack Moran '22, Nick Sullivan '23, Jack Falkowski '24, Joe Barrett '25, Lucas Ward '23, Alex Kemp '24 and Alex Mastroly '25 helped pave the way for success this year.

The 2022 version looks to be just as exciting. NY.milesplit places CBA as the favorite, but Bishop Hendricken of Rhode Island, St. Anthony's and Corning Painted Post of NY, Mt. Tabor of North Carolina and LaSalle College of Pennsylvania are all in the hunt.
