CBA Reigns Supreme at Shore Coaches

Holmdel, NJ - The 50th Shore Coaches Invitational brought warm weather and fast times for the Colts. The boys ran the 4th fastest 5 man average time in meet history in 85 degree temperatures. The quintet of Luke Hnatt '26, Gavin Schmitt '27, Ryan Collins '26, Sean Galvin '26, Matt McInerney '26 bested a field of the best teams in the Northeast with an average of 16:13. Virginia commit Hnatt led the charge with a 15:41, the number 7 time in CBA history. He finished 2nd to Sean Gray of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. G. Schmitt, Collins and Galvin all finished top 10 in a deep race. Sophomores Liam Schmitt and Justin Ventimiglia rounded out the top 7. Liam dipped under the 17 mark for the first time.

Dominic Moscatello led the freshmen with an amazing wire to wire to victory. He led a big group of PBs. Gideon Rivera, Chase VanDerHoof, Ryan Frazee and Fisher Scull were all in the top 14 in scoring and won the meet with 33 points. Their average of 11:56 is tops in NJ for the year and one of the best in course history. Considering the warmth on the day, their times are tremendous.
