Lakewood, NJ - CBA won its 41st Shore Conference XC title in dominant fashion. Their 5 man average of 15:18 is one of the best in course history and their score of 22 is one of the lowest point totals in history. The CBA varsity asserted themselves early as Gavin Schmitt '27 took the lead just before 800. He battled most of the way with Colts Neck's Jay Adimala. Gavin charged to the lead with a little over 100 to go and finished with a BANG! to win his first Shore title. Behind Gavin, Sean Galvin '26, Ryan Collins '26 and Wyatt Falkowski '26 all ran big personal bests to finish 3-4-5 in the race. Matt McInerney '26 finished out the scoring in 11th (9 team points). Matt's time of 15:55 was a 35 second best for him. Liam Schmitt '28 ran the fastest sophomore time at Ocean County Park for the 2025 season in 15:58.

CBA has not lost a Shore XC title since 2006 and has only lost twice in their history at the meet. Their average of 15:18 is the 4th fastest in course history behind the 2024, 2013 and 2012 CBA teams. The team was missing top runner Luke Hnatt '26. He was resting.

The JV squad won with 22 points and had the 3rd fastest average on the day of all levels.

In the junior varsity race, Max Kemp '28 led the way with a big win. His time of 16:13 is the 2nd fastest time on the course for sophomores this fall. Nick Marx '27 and Michael Romero '27 both ran over a minute faster than last year to finish 3rd and 5th in the race. Lucas Scrivanic '27 continued his impressive comeback from injury to finish 6th and Aldan Philipson '28 finished as our 5th man in 7th place. The team won with 22 point and a 16:29 average. They would have the 3rd fastest average on the day.

CBA also Dominated the freshmen race. Dominic Moscatello cruised to the win and led CBA to 7 of the top 9 spots. Gideon Rivera (3rd), Trey Summers (5th), Chase VanDerHoof (6th) and Ransom Nash (7th) rounded out our scoring. Those 5 runners averaged 11:11 to take down the course record 5 man average. Behind the top 5, CBA raced with confidence. Most runners ran personal best by many seconds, some by minutes. Of note, Fischer Scull ran almost a minute faster to finish 9th.
