Holmdel, NJ - After a long day and great racing on Saturday, CBA XC traveled to Holmdel Park for the Monmouth County Meet on Tuesday. The quick turn around meant tired legs and tired brains. Yet the Colts stepped up to run some great races and win a lot of medals.

The varsity squad finished 2nd to NJ #3 Manalapan. The top 5 were 2 sophomores and 3 freshmen! Justin Ventimiglia '28 led Dominic Moscatello '29, Max Kemp '28, Gideon Rivera '29 and Chase VanDerHoof '29 to a 17:25 average. For Chase and Gideon, the race marked their first time in a 5k. In fact Gideon saw the Bowl for the first time during the race. They ran the 10th and 12th fastest Holmdel 5k for freshmen in CBA history. The young Colts showed what the future could bring. Add in some work and care for their team and these guys could win a lot of meets in the future.

The frosh race represented a great opportunity for the rest of the frosh team. With our normal top 3 running varsity, Trey Summers, Ryan Frazee and Fisher Scull took over to lead the team to victory. Ransom Nash and Harry Cullinane cleaned up the team scoring. The team averaged 12:23 and Manalapan by a few points in what was almost a dual meet.

The JV race closed out the meet. Nick Marx '27 won his first XC race while leading most of the way. His time of 17:40 is a solid PB. Aldan Philipson '28 had a great rebound race for 2nd and Lucas Scrivanic '27's kick moved him up a place. Jackson Cullen '28 and Eamon Cornette '28 were final scorers for the team. The team with 20 points.
